What is an adjective? Adjectives are words that describe or modify other words.

It’s a beautiful car
They’re blue flowers.

Adjectives go (normaly) before a noun or after a verb.

It’s a big house (noun). The house is (verb) big.

Adjectives don’t change before a plural noun. NOT: They’re prettys flowers.

Different types of adjectives.

  • Personal titles: Mr, Mrs, Dr, Lord, Sir, etc
  • Possessive adjectives: my, your, his, her, its, our, their.
  • The articles
    • Indefinite: a, an
    • Definite: the
  • Demonstrative adjectives: this, that, these, those.
  • Indefinite adjectives: no, any, many, few and several.
  • Numbers: ordinals and cardinals.
